Research Areas

Various research groups from the Leibniz Universität HannoverMax Planck Institute for Gravitational Physics (Albert Einstein Institute) in Hannover, ZARM at Bremen and the Physikalisch-Technische Bundesanstalt (PTB), in Braunschweig participate in our RTG. The education covers the complete scope of relativistic geodesy, gravimetry and quantum sensors, and the underlying physics from classical interferometry, laser physics and quantum optics to data analysis, theoretical geodesy, relativistic astrophysics and numerical methods that are specifically tailored to the needs of a future generation Relativistic Geodesists, an emerging field that requires a specialised interdisciplinary education not to be found in an integrated fashion like this anywhere in the world.
