2nd lecture evening "The Changing Earth" on June 26, 2018
"The Changing Earth" is an initiative to present the scientific research done at geo-Q to the interested public and to show the connections with other fields of research. The second event of the lecture series focussed on the sea level rise.
Our invited guest Prof. Dr. Jürgen Kusche is head of the working group Astronomical, Physical and Mathematical Geodesy, Institute of Geodesy and Geoinformation, University of Bonn. He specialises in the study of the sea level rise and is involved in several research programmes focussing on Earth system research.
PD Dr. Christian Lisdat is head of the working group Optical Lattice Clocks at the Physikalisch-Technische Bundesanstalt (PTB) in Braunschweig and PI of geo-Q project A03 - Transportable optical clocks for relativistic geodesy.
