The worldwide most precise and most stable transportable optical clock

has just been presented by C. Lisdat and his team at the PTB

„With an uncertainty of 7.4 x 10−17 our transportable optical strontium lattice clock has come as close to the best stationary optical clocks as necessary for good clock comparisons," says work group leader Christian Lisdat.
